A head spa is a luxury treatment that focuses on the health of your scalp while also providing a deeply relaxing experience. It combines scalp care, massage, and hair treatments to cleanse, nourish, and rejuvenate both the scalp and hair.

At the end of your treatment, your hair is professionally blow dried and styled by one of our experienced stylists, leaving you feeling refreshed, confident, and effortlessly glamorous.

Our Head Spa treatments are suitable for most people, particularly those experiencing product build-up, dryness, oiliness, itchiness, scalp discomfort, tension, or stress.

However, you don't need to have any scalp concerns to enjoy a Head Spa—it's the perfect experience for anyone looking to relax, unwind, and be pampered.

However, we cannot accommodate the following -

• Pregnant woman - at any stage

• Hair extensions (of any kind) Weaves, braids & dreadlocks

• Fever/Flu or Illness

• Recently underwent surgery (within 3 months of the appointment)

• currently taking antibiotics

• Has serious back, neck or head issues/injury’s

• Open wounds

• Under 16’s

• Undergoing Cancer Treatment

• Wheelchair users (for safety reasons)

Please note that we cannot help with lifting on and off the bed.

All appointments run in blocks

Weekdays - 9.30am / 12pm / 3pm / 5.30pm

Saturdays - 9am, 11.30am & 2.30pm

This gives us time to clean down after treatments, prepare for the next group of guests and allows time for staff breaks.

Doors open 10 minutes before your allocated appointment time. On arrival, one of our therapists will greet you and escort you to your treatment room. Please use the bathroom before arriving, as this will help maximise your treatment time.

Please note that we do not have a reception or waiting area, as we only accommodate guests with pre-booked appointments. We are also unable to accommodate guests arriving more than 20 minutes late.

Once the door is closed, there will be no one available to assist, as all therapists will be in treatment sessions at that time.

We offer a signature 2-hour experience, priced at £150.

This indulgent treatment includes a consultation, scalp analysis, neck and shoulder massage, and a bespoke head spa ritual carefully tailored to your individual hair and scalp needs. Your experience is then completed with a professional blow-dry and styling, leaving your hair feeling beautifully refreshed and restored.

For your comfort throughout the treatment, refreshments, slippers, and a robe will be provided.

Please note that this treatment does not include a haircut. However, you may add a haircut to your second appointment for an additional £50.

Hair

Please arrive with detangled hair and avoid heavy styling products on the day. For best result, come with unwashed hair.

Clothing

You are welcome to wear whatever you feel comfortable in, as we are not a traditional spa and most guests arrive dressed for the day or evening.

However, we do require access to the neck and shoulders for your massage, so we recommend wearing a top that is easy to remove.

Jewellery

Please remove any necklaces or dangling earrings before attending, as this can delay your treatment.

You will be provided with a robe and slippers for your blow-dry.

Makeup
You are welcome to wear makeup. We do not touch the face unless you choose to have a heated eye mask as part of your treatment.

Bookings can be made on our booking system, via email or Instagram. A 50% deposit is required upon booking. Appointments are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Please note the deposit is non-refundable within 48 hours of your appointment time - this includes booking with a gift voucher - the remainder will be taken on the day

Booking System Explained

We open our diary every 2 months. At the moment, the diary is open until July.

We release new months on the following dates:

• 1st June → August & September

• 1st August → October & November

• 1st October → December & January 2027

• 1st December → February & March

Due to demand - weekend appointments are often fully booked several months in advance.

We can accommodate up to 4 guests per session.

Each guest enjoys their own private room and dedicated therapist, ensuring a personalised and relaxing experience.

After your treatment, all blow-dries take place in the same room, allowing you to unwind and enjoy the experience together while refreshments are served.

Due to high demand, we currently have a waitlist for Group Weekend availability.

This is our ONLY location and are in no way affiliated with any other head spas.

The Head Spa is a private salon -we do not accept walk-ins — all visits are by appointment only.

Lateness Policy

We are able to accommodate arrivals up to 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. Where possible, a shortened treatment will be offered; however, the full treatment fee will still apply.

Arrivals after this time will be treated as a missed appointment.

No-shows or failure to communicate will result in the full treatment fee being charged.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling more than 48 hours before your appointment:

Your deposit or gift voucher will be transferred to your new appointment date.

Cancellations

Cancelling more than 48 hours before your appointment:

Your deposit will be refunded back to your original payment method.

Cancelling under 48 hours: Deposit is non-refundable

These policies are in place to protect our time, our business, and your access to treatments. Thank you for your understanding and support.

E-vouchers are available to purchase through our booking system in £50, £75, and £100 amounts, which can be used towards our signature treatment.

We also offer a £150 EUPHORIA voucher, which covers the full treatment, and a £300 voucher for couples or friends wishing to enjoy the experience together.

All vouchers have a 1 year expiry. Once purchased these are non - refundable.

Physical vouchers can be purchased during your appointment. They can also be posted to you for an additional £5. Please get in touch to arrange this.

If you bought a voucher between April ‘24 - October ‘24, these vouchers have been extended until 2026 due to appointment demand

Booking with an E- Voucher

When booking with a gift voucher over £75 - £75 will be taken as the deposit and the remainder of the voucher will be taken on the day of the appointment.

The products which we use are all natural ingredients that come from the ground.

Our oils are NUT FREE however, our hair products may contain traces of nuts / citrus fruits / Limonene and Linalool

Our Head Spa treatments are designed to be gentle yet effective and suitable for various skin types, including sensitive scalps. We use organic products rich in vitamins and minerals which are essential for healthy hair growth.

Please know that we are not medical professionals and we cannot diagnose skin conditions.

We are unable to perform this service on anyone with untreated seborrheic dermatitis or folliculitis, or on those with open sores or wounds.

We need proper access to the scalp, therefor we cannot perform services on customers with extensions (of any kind) braids, locks, or sew-ins as these obstruct access to the scalp and pores.

If hair extensions have been removed within 1 week prior to your appointment, please ensure your hair has been washed before attending. Any remaining glue build-up can require additional time to remove during your treatment and may impact the time available for your head spa experience.

Yes! All hair types are welcome. We don’t specialise in cutting/styling curly hair but the treatments are suitable for everyone.

Hair can be defused or left to dry naturally.

Haircuts are not included within your Head Spa session.

If you would like to add a haircut on a second visit, please speak with your therapist during your appointment or contact us to arrange this.

This service is available at an additional cost of £50 and extends your total appointment time to 2 hours 30 minutes.

All of our therapists are fully qualified hair stylists, ensuring a seamless and professional finish to your experience.

We do not offer full restyles within this service time, only light tidying of the cut to keep the ends healthy and maintained.

Our package includes a salon finish blow dry and style.

If a blow dry is not required you will receive a longer service on the head spa bed.

We are able to accommodate individuals with disabilities.

We are located in an older building on the first floor and lift access is available.

Please note - Our new accessible bathrooms are currently under construction on our floor, However, alternative accessible toilets are located on the 4th floor.

For safety reasons, we regret to inform you that we are unable to accommodate guests who use a wheelchair, as there are currently no formal evacuation procedures in place for wheelchair users in the event of a fire alarm, and we cannot guarantee safe assisted evacuation.

We are also unable to assist with lifting, so we kindly ask that guests bring someone with them if they require physical assistance during their visit.

The Head Spa is a private space with an all-female team, designed to ensure complete comfort and relaxation. Each guest is welcomed into their own private room.

We are also able to accommodate small group bookings of up to four guests, ideal for friends/ family who wear hijab/niqab - who wish to enjoy the experience together.

This is one of our most sought-after experiences.

All of our ingredients are safe for all types of treated hair.

If you have recently had any chemical services, we recommend waiting at least one week before receiving a Head Spa treatment. It is also best to wash your hair a few days prior to attending your appointment.

Colour

Having your colour done after your treatment is absolutely fine.

Yes! Everyone is welcome. Hair has no gender!

If your hair is on the shorter side, or you are completely bald, don’t worry—your appointment can simply include a longer treatment time with a shorter blow-dry stage.

The treatment is for you to relax and unwind but if you would like to take some content before or after the treatment, you most certainly can.

Please refrain from filming during the session as these are private.

No Photographs or videos will be taken without your consent.

Molly, the founder of The Head Spa Manchester, is a certified trainer with over 16 years of experience in the hair industry, driven by a genuine passion for wellbeing.

She has developed a bespoke training programme, which has been carefully delivered to our in-house team to ensure a consistent and elevated standard of service.

At present, we do not offer external training. However, due to growing demand, this is something we are looking to introduce in the future.
